I'd been looking for something upon which to focus; something which would make me a better photographer; something which required a certain commitment. I had idly observed other challenges sent out on the social networking sites but the idea of a photograph every day for a year really sparked my imagination.
With the Fuji X100S being so small, light and unobtrusive, I can have it with me all the time. Images I used to capture with the iPhone could now be taken with the Fuji. The ability to set the camera up to do square format and mono was a huge plus. The drawback is no editing. I ALWAYS edit since I shoot in RAW so it will be interesting to see if I can resist the odd tweak or two.
I plan to produce a gorgeous, hardback book at the end of the year; a pictorial diary of 2014..
